Lack of organization system between beverage and food
Expensive to manufacture & hard to clean
Workflow optimization strategy
How might the new Pickup riser create an engine layout to maximize labor efficiency, order consolidation, and customer identification?
Designing a product for baristas means designing a magic wand that enables baristas to become a superhero, so every customer feels uplifted through their Starbucks experience.
Test. Iterate. Repeat.
We constantly co-create products with baristas through user testing, scenario testing, and store simulation.
From sketches on paper to installation instruction in stores.
Shipping products to stores requires working within an aggressive development timeline, designing for mass production with a shipping cost constraint, risk & safety assessment, and more—while creating a functional and aesthetic design in parallel.
