Established the first Industrial design team at Starbucks

As part of the starting members of the first In-House Industrial Design team at Starbucks, I have been responsible for establishing what is Starbucks Industrial Design, Why it matters, and How to deliver accessible, sustainable, and beautiful designs to create the best barista/customer experiences.

Delivered products to 83 countries, 40,000+ stores, and over 300,000 employees.

Delivering products at a global corporation is a big responsibility. At Starbucks, paying attention to every single detail ranging from specifying a single screw head to ergonomics of pressing a button of an equipment matters. We are currently heavily focusing on designing for sustainability and accessibility.

  • Developed and delivered Starbucks innovated brew equipment that will be installed at 33,000+ stores in 83 countries.

  • Proposed and executed equipment to use automation, sustainable materials and multi-feedback functions on touchpoints to be accessible.

  • Designed Starbucks Pickup Store fixtures that increased consolidation productivity and customer connection
